How does Truster handle my bookkeeping?
Updated
Pro Light uses single-entry bookkeeping. This is a simplified bookkeeping method in which income and expenses are recorded on a cash basis — that is, as they occur. Single-entry bookkeeping doesn't include a balance sheet.
We prepare and file your VAT returns on your behalf, as well as your annual business tax return. VAT returns are filed according to the VAT period — monthly, quarterly, or once a year. The tax return is filed once a year, by 1.4.
You can easily track the income and expenses in your bookkeeping through the reports available in the app.
Company authorisations are an important part of the service
So that we can take care of your company's bookkeeping and submit official filings on time, your company authorisations need to be in order. Authorisations are always requested at the final stage of your Pro Light subscription, once your company has been registered.
If you're unsure whether your authorisations are in order, you can easily check this in the Truster app. Open the Menu, select Company details, and click Tax payment information. If you see payment information, everything is fine. If the page is empty and no payment information appears, the authorisations are missing.
If you've now noticed that your company authorisations are missing, take a look at the illustrated instructions here and grant the authorisations.
Tax payment information updates automatically once the authorisations have been granted, usually by the following day at the latest.
Once your authorisations are in order and your materials have been submitted on time, your bookkeeping runs automatically in the background — exactly as it should.
