Building Europe's platform for the self-employed
Where we are
Since 2019, more than 55,000 self-employed professionals have run their business on Truster — over 430,000 invoices and €450 million invoiced through the platform. Sweden opened in 2026 as our second market — invitation-only until 1 September 2026 — on the same platform, the same day-one payroll and compliance rails, localised per market.
The model compounds: every market shares one core (invoicing → payment → salary → accounting), so each new country adds volume to the same engine rather than a new stack to maintain.
Full service, owned end to end
Truster is not an app on top of someone else's rails — we own the whole value chain. Money moves through our own FIN-FSA authorised payment institution. Salaries are computed by our own payroll engine, cent-precise in three countries (Finland, Sweden, Iceland), filing directly with the authorities — Tulorekisteri, Skatteverket's AGI and RSK — and paying out over 14 bank connections, with double-entry accounting built in and exports to four accounting systems.
On top of that engine sit the products: light entrepreneurship and sole-trader services for consumers, an open B2B API with the Truster Platform UI (invoice batches, DAC7 reporting, self-service API keys) and the Payoll payroll product for companies, YEL pension distribution with Ilmarinen, and the Truster Turva insurance package. AI is operational, not decorative: it drafts the bookkeeping our accountants supervise and answers customer questions around the clock from our own knowledge base. Owning every layer keeps the take rate, the margin and the moat in the same hands.

The core loop
Invoice → paid → salary — the flow every market runs on.
Illustration: the user creates an invoice — customer and line are filled in, VAT is calculated automatically and the invoice is sent.
Multi-market from day one
The same product, localised: Swedish payroll in SEK with preliminärskatt handled.
Illustration: the user opens a Swedish payslip where gross pay, preliminary tax and the service fee are itemised and the net pay is shown in kronor.
