How do I grant personal authorizations?

Updated

After ordering the sole trader (toiminimi) service, you will receive an authorization request in the Suomi.fi service. This authorization serves as your electronic consent to us, so that we can either open a Y-tunnus for you, or retrieve the details of your existing Y-tunnus. Without the authorization, the subscription cannot proceed, as we are unable to act without your electronic permission. The authorization is a mandatory part of setting up the sole trader (toiminimi) service. To grant the authorization, you need Finnish online banking credentials or a mobile certificate.

How to grant personal authorizations

  1. Go to the Suomi.fi service
  2. Click Identify

__wf_reserved_inherit

  1. Select Act on your own behalf

  1. Click Go to Suomi.fi e-Authorizations

  1. Click Go to confirm (1)

  1. Click Confirm authorization

The authorization has now been granted. The information will update in our system within about 24 hours, and you'll receive a status update in the Tasks section on the app's home screen. So you don't need to separately notify us that you've granted the authorization.

Please note that this is the first authorization we request. Toward the end of the subscription process, we will ask you for a second authorization - company authorizations. We will send you instructions once this step becomes relevant.
