Payment flow in the Pro Light service

Uuendatud

In the Pro Light service, payments flow via the invoice or direct remittance into Truster's client funds account, from where — after the service fee, statutory deductions, and any other deductions — they continue on to your account in the form of a private withdrawal.

Example of the payment flow

1. You send your client an invoice

In this example, the invoice amounts are as follows:

1 000 €
+ 25,5 % VAT*
= 1 255 €

\Why is VAT added?
*Value-added tax is a consumption tax that the government levies on almost all goods and services sold in Finland. A company adds VAT to the price of its products and services because the law requires it: VAT is always included in the sales price, unless it's specifically a 0% VAT sale. The company doesn't keep the VAT for itself — it collects it on behalf of the government. So VAT is added to the invoice because it's a tax that's part of the price of goods and services in Finland.

We withhold the VAT portion from the invoice and pay it to the Finnish Tax Administration according to your VAT period.

2. The client pays the invoice

The client pays the invoice in full, 1 255 €, into Truster's client funds account, where VAT and other deductions are withheld from the payment. For example:

VAT 255 €

The VAT portion of the example invoice is 255 €. This amount is remitted by Truster to the Finnish Tax Administration together with your VAT return.

Withholding tax 100 €

The amount of withholding tax depends on the tax rate you've set in the Truster app. In this example, the tax rate is 10 %, so the withholding tax deducted from the 1000-euro invoice is 100 €.

Service fee 39,90 €

The Pro Light service's basic service fee is 3,99 %* of the invoice's 0% VAT amount, which in this example is 1 000 €.

\The service fee may vary between different agreements*

Other possible deductions

  • YEL insurance premium, if you've taken out YEL insurance through Truster
  • Debt enforcement (ulosotto), if you have an active enforcement decision

3. The private withdrawal is paid to you

The amount payable to you, for your own use, from the example invoice is 860,10 €.
