First up is 27-year-old Catharina Lind. We got to see Catharina in action at Idention's Helsinki office. Catharina shared some interesting facts with us and the reason that made her try light entrepreneurship.
Catharina, who lives in Helsinki, effortlessly combines light entrepreneurship with her blended-learning studies. Catharina is currently studying to become a social services professional while dreaming of a career as a psychologist. In her free time, Catharina enjoys the gym and trail running.
Catharina's first taste of working life came at age 15 in her mother's company. Since then she has stayed in the workforce, taking on a wide range of tasks and roles from bartender to store manager. Catharina also spent 3 years working for American Express in Brighton, England. Today she does commercial cleaning as a Truster light entrepreneur.
Her blended-learning studies include both online coursework and in-person classes. As a student, combining work and studies is often challenging. The key is finding balance and setting aside time to unwind, too. Light entrepreneurship turned out to be the perfect middle ground. Catharina found it to be a great way to earn income alongside her studies.
“Light entrepreneurship was a clear choice thanks to its flexibility and low barrier to getting started.”
Catharina started as a light entrepreneur in May 2022, and the journey continues. Light entrepreneurship has enabled her to maintain a good standard of living as a full-time student. As a Truster light entrepreneur, Catharina has been happy with the low fees.
Light entrepreneurship is a low-barrier option. As a light entrepreneur, certain personality traits become real strengths. Catharina named three traits that have served her well as a light entrepreneur: resilience, cheerfulness, and drive. And we couldn't agree more. Catharina's ability to work brilliantly alongside her studies says a lot on its own. Her drive has been a driving force that has taken her far — and will continue to do so.
Catharina's tip for aspiring light entrepreneurs:
I think a zest for life is one of the most important qualities a service-industry entrepreneur can have. It's rarely mentioned as a clear factor for success. On top of that, if you're determined and reliable, you're a perfect fit for light entrepreneurship.
Catharina believes you have to enjoy life for work to stay enjoyable too. And that's exactly what light entrepreneurship is: doing something you love.
