My Own Account
Sole proprietorship with your own bank account
A sole proprietorship service where the money lands in your own account
My Own Account is the same carefree sole proprietorship service as Toiminimi — with one difference: your customers pay their invoices directly into your company's own bank account. The money never passes through Truster: you see every payment in your own bank and stay in charge of your funds. Behind the scenes, Truster handles the same things it does for every sole proprietor: invoicing, bookkeeping, VAT returns, and the annual business tax return.
You connect your bank account to the service directly in the app. After that, the transactions on your bank statement appear in the app, and you match them to your bookkeeping with just a few taps — sales, expenses and withdrawals stay up to date without emailing receipts back and forth. You scan receipts with the receipt scanner, and every receipt is checked by us before the VAT and tax returns are filed.
There's one thing that stays your responsibility: payments. Because the money is in your own account, you pay the VAT and taxes yourself — we give you the exact amounts, due dates and payment details, fully calculated in advance. You don't need to do any calculations, just pay.
What you get
Your own bank account
Invoices are paid straight into your own account — you control the money, we handle the paperwork.
Bookkeeping and VAT
Match the transactions on your bank statement to your bookkeeping in a couple of taps — VAT returns included.
Tax return
Your sole proprietorship tax return is prepared in the service — just review and approve it.
Expert support
A real person answers your bookkeeping questions — and an AI assistant helps instantly.
A clear division of labour: we handle the paperwork, you handle the payments
Truster takes care of creating and sending invoices, bookkeeping, VAT returns each tax period, and the annual business tax return (Form 5). You can see your results, transactions and downloadable reports in the app at any time — and when the authorities ask, the figures are ready.
You pay VAT, advance taxes and other statutory payments yourself, from your own online bank. This is the core idea of the service: because the money is in your own account, payment transactions also stay in your hands. For every payment, we provide the details you need in advance — the amount, due date and payment reference — so paying is as simple as a bank transfer, not accounting work.

Who is My Own Account for?
My Own Account is built for sole proprietors who want the money to go straight into their own account and full visibility into their cash flow — but don't want to pay an accounting firm or do the bookkeeping themselves. It's especially suited to established entrepreneurs with regular invoicing, and to anyone switching from an accounting firm: we handle the transfer based on your opening figures, so your bookkeeping continues without interruption. If you'd rather have us handle the money flow and tax payments for you too, take a look at our Toiminimi service — switching between our services is easy within Truster.
Frequently asked questions about My Own Account
How does My Own Account differ from the Toiminimi service?
The services are otherwise the same, but with My Own Account your customers pay their invoices directly into your own bank account, and the money never passes through Truster. That's why you also pay VAT and taxes yourself — we provide fully calculated amounts, due dates and payment details. With the Toiminimi service, we also handle the payments for you.
How do I connect a bank account to the service?
You connect your company's bank account in the Truster app in just a few minutes. After that, the transactions on your bank statement appear in the app, and you match them to your bookkeeping with a couple of taps — your bookkeeping stays up to date without emailing receipts back and forth.
Who pays the VAT and taxes?
You pay them yourself from your own online bank — because the money is in your own account. We handle the filings and provide the exact details you need for every payment: the amount, due date and payment reference. You don't need to calculate anything yourself.
What does the service cost?
The fixed monthly fee of €59.90/mo covers invoicing, bookkeeping, VAT returns and the sole proprietorship tax return. There's no commission. You can add Truster Turva insurance as an optional add-on for a monthly fee if you wish.
Can I switch from an accounting firm or another service?
Yes. We use your existing Business ID (Y-tunnus), and switching is possible mid-year too — we'll need opening figures (income statement and general ledger) from your previous accountant so your bookkeeping continues without interruption. Our customer service will go through the switch with you before you start.
How do I add receipts to my bookkeeping?
Scan the receipt with the app's receipt scanner or upload an electronic receipt — one receipt at a time. Every receipt is checked by us, and valid receipts are approved into the bookkeeping before the VAT and tax returns are filed.
