The idea of becoming a light entrepreneur with Truster came about through chance and good fortune, when Benjamin found himself in the right place at the right time. Who is Benjamin, and what does he do?

Benjamin Koivuniemi was born in Hämeenlinna but later moved to Helsinki for work. He started his career as an event staffer at several event agencies and soon noticed that the event production industry offered plenty of opportunities, especially for men. Benjamin decided to become a light entrepreneur because it allowed him to earn more and easily invoice for a variety of projects.

In 2018, Benjamin moved to Helsinki permanently and began finding more work in the greater Helsinki area, where most of Finland's events take place. His work has required a lot of travel, including trips abroad to places like Tel Aviv, Sweden, Estonia, and Moscow.

Benjamin's first project was modelling for a McDonald's ad. That launched a career that opened up more and more opportunities at advertising and event agencies, and gradually he began landing more and more gigs. One of his most notable projects was working on Coca-Cola's Christmas truck tour in 2018.

Light entrepreneurship entered the picture through recommendations from friends and event agencies. As projects started coming in more frequently, Benjamin realised that working as a light entrepreneur was more profitable and easier than working on a tax card. Attitude matters far more than grades on a school certificate or language skills. In event production, what matters most is the ability to create special moments for people and to stay on top of trends and technology.
