Here's how Truster handles your matters

Updated

In order for us to handle your company's bookkeeping and taxes, we need your permission - that is, your authorization. Without authorization, we can't act as your accountant.

We need two (2) different authorizations from you in the Suomi.fi service. Both are mandatory, but they're needed at different times.

Situation 1: Setting up the company (Personal authorizations)

This authorization is given at the start of onboarding to the service. It's the authorization to set up a company, or to retrieve your already existing Y-tunnus - and re-register it if necessary.

What the authorization does: We open a new Y-tunnus for you, or retrieve the details of your existing company into our system.

Consequence without authorization: The service won't start.

See here for instructions on granting personal authorizations.

Situation 2: Handling tax matters (Company authorizations)

This authorization is given once your Y-tunnus exists. It's the authorization to handle your day-to-day tax obligations.

What the authorization does: We file VAT returns and tax returns on your behalf, and pay taxes to the Finnish Tax Administration.

Consequence without authorization: Taxes go unreported and unpaid. This results in tax increases and late-payment fees, even if you're using the app.

See here for instructions on granting company authorizations.
