Things to note regarding benefits

• Parental allowance: You can work while on parental leave, but for the days you work you'll be paid the allowance at the minimum rate. However, work done on Sundays or public holidays doesn't affect the benefit paid for weekdays (check the current guidance from Kela).
• Child home care allowance: Occasional income generally doesn't affect the child home care allowance, unless it involves the care supplement, which is income-tested.
