What are the authorizations needed for?

In order for us to manage your company's affairs, such as bookkeeping and taxes, you need to give us permission to do so. We need two different authorizations from you in the Suomi.fi service. Both are necessary, but they are used at different stages.

1. Personal authorizations

This permission is requested from you when you order the Pro Light service. It serves as permission to set up a company, or to retrieve the details of an existing Y-tunnus (Business ID).

Without the authorization, the order cannot proceed past the first step.

2. Company authorizations

This permission is requested at the final stage of the Pro Light order. It is permission to handle tax matters.

We file your VAT returns and tax returns on your behalf, and pay your taxes to the Finnish Tax Administration. If we do not receive the authorization, we cannot file or pay taxes on your behalf. This leads to a late-payment fee, which you would have to pay yourself.
