Authority requests (Migri, Kela)
Uuendatud
If the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) or another authority asks you to provide evidence of your income, a bank statement alone is usually not enough. When you invoice through your own Y-tunnus (Business ID), the income is not recorded in the incomes register, and the payments do not generate payslips, so proving your income is done using reports instead.
The 5 most common reports for proving your income
You can find the reports in the app's menu under Downloadable reports.
Income statement
This is the most common report required to prove income. The income statement breaks down your company's income and expenses, as well as the result, for the period you select.
Sales report
The sales report shows your company's sales invoices (invoices created through us), along with the VAT breakdown for those invoices. This report supports the figures in the income statement.
Expense report
The expense report contains your company's expenses – i.e. all the expenses that have been approved for your bookkeeping through us.
Withdrawal report
The withdrawal report supports the income statement and the sales report. It brings together all the private withdrawals paid to you and their amounts. This report proves what amounts have been paid into your account, and when.

YEL certificate
If you have valid YEL insurance, you can get it from your own pension insurance company's online service. We do not have access to this certificate. If you took out the insurance through us, you can get the certificate by logging in to Ilmarinen's online service.
Cover letter – Missing balance sheet
Authorities often ask for a balance sheet. For your sole trader (toiminimi) business, we keep single-entry bookkeeping, which means no balance sheet is produced. Download the cover letter via the link below and attach it to your application along with your other documents. The cover letter proves that no balance sheet is produced for your toiminimi.
