What happens if I get sick during a work shift?

Getting sick is always unpleasant, especially in entrepreneurial-style work. Here's what to do:

1. Notify the customer: Tell the customer about the situation right away. Openness is important so you can agree on rescheduling the work or arranging a substitute.
2. Income during sick leave:
   • If you have YEL insurance: You can apply to Kela for sickness allowance after the waiting period. The amount of the allowance is based on your YEL income.
   • If you do not have YEL insurance: You are entitled to Kela's minimum sickness allowance after the waiting period, unless you have other income.

If it was a work-related accident (you were injured while performing work duties), Truster's accident insurance may cover treatment costs and loss of earnings. If so, contact our customer service right away!
