What does light entrepreneurship mean?

Light entrepreneurship is a flexible way to work and invoice customers without your own company or a Y-tunnus (Business ID). It's like a hybrid between entrepreneurship and salaried employment: you work like an entrepreneur, but you receive your income as pay.

Easy to get started, no paperwork

Light entrepreneurship is excellent for earning extra income, working alongside studies, or testing a business idea.

Register for the Truster service and start working. You don't need to set up a company or fill out official forms. We take care of insurance, taxes, and paperwork on your behalf. You can focus entirely on winning customers and doing the work.

Invoicing and pay

Once the work is done, send an invoice to your customer using the Truster app.

The customer pays the invoice to us, and we pay the amount to you as pay. You don't need to worry about paying taxes yourself; we handle the withholding tax on your behalf, just like in a regular employment relationship.

What does the service cost?

The service fee is 3,99 % of the invoice amount. A fixed monthly price is also available as an alternative. You can find more information in our price list.

Tip: If your invoicing grows significantly, you can later switch to the fixed monthly price or set up a sole trader (toiminimi) business.

Remember: As a light entrepreneur, you can't deduct purchases (such as tools) for tax purposes, because you don't have a Y-tunnus. If your business grows substantially, we'll help you easily transition to operating as a sole trader (toiminimi).
