Yes, it's a statutory insurance if the following conditions are met:

• You are 18–68 years old (the upper age limit for the insurance obligation rises in stages).
• Your work continues uninterrupted for at least 4 months.
• Your estimated work income exceeds the minimum threshold (9 423,09 € in 2026).
• You live and work in Finland. The insurance must be taken out no later than 6 months after the activity begins.
