Can I use Truster if I already have a Y-tunnus?

Yes. A Y-tunnus (Business ID) is personal – you can only have one – so we use your existing ID rather than opening a new one. You start your order normally in the app and grant personal authorizations in Suomi.fi, after which we retrieve your company's details on your behalf.

If your toiminimi has been inactive

We check your company's status in the registers. If the toiminimi has been removed from the registers, we submit a notification of change and reactivate it. Please note that reactivation can take 3–4 weeks.

If you're switching to Truster from another accounting firm

To ensure your bookkeeping continues seamlessly, we need the opening information from your previous accountant:

• At the start of the year (recommended): the previous year's financial statements or income statement is sufficient.
• Mid-year: we need the income statement and general ledger for the start of the year, so we know what has already been recorded and reported to the tax authorities.
