What does light entrepreneurship mean?

Light entrepreneurship is a carefree form of self-employment in which you work practically like an entrepreneur. You find your own clients and work, decide your own schedule, and are responsible for your own livelihood. However, you don't need your own company — you can employ yourself without a Y-tunnus or registering a sole trader (toiminimi) business. Invoices are sent to your client through an invoicing service — such as Truster. At least for now, "light entrepreneur" is not an official term. A light entrepreneur is often seen as something between an entrepreneur and an employee. This new way of working is, however, rapidly becoming more common in Finnish working life — and at the same pace around the world.
