Why Truster

Tax card

Once you've completed identification, we always fetch your tax card automatically from the Tax Administration's system, so you don't need to send it to us separately. With a sole proprietorship, no tax card is used for wage income — instead, taxes are paid as advance tax.

Payslip

As a light entrepreneur, your payslips are always generated in the Truster app when your salary is paid out. You'll find them under Salaries. With a sole proprietorship, you'll find your business transactions and reports in the app.

Add-on services for salary payment

With HetiPalkka, you get paid straight to your account even before the business customer has paid the invoice. With Pikamaksu, you can secure your payment outside our normal payment schedule.

Frequently asked questions

When will I receive my payment for assignments in my account?

Truster creates the invoices for you based on the details we receive from the customer, so you don't need to create or send the invoice yourself. Your payment is transferred to your account once the customer has paid the invoice to Truster and you have confirmed the necessary details in the app during the work period. If you'd like, you can speed up your salary payment with the HetiPalkka service.

Can I choose which assignments I accept?

Yes. You work as an independent contractor, so you decide for yourself which assignments to accept. Truster acts as an invoicing and payment service and doesn't control your work shifts or assignments. You agree directly with the client on the availability, schedule and content of the assignments.

What does Truster Turva cover for assignments?

The service includes Truster Turva, which covers accident, liability and legal expenses insurance for your assignments. You'll find exact details on the scope of the insurance, compensation limits and how to apply for compensation on the Truster Turva pages: - Light entrepreneurs - Sole proprietors

Why don't I see an expense invoice in my profile, or why haven't I received my salary?

If no expense invoice template is shown in your profile for adding expenses, there are two common reasons, depending on whether you work as a light entrepreneur or with a sole proprietorship: 1. You've logged in with the wrong details (duplicate profile) If you invoice as a light entrepreneur, the expense invoice is created in your profile once we've received your details from the customer. If you didn't already have a Truster account, it's possible that we automatically created a profile for you based on these details. It's very important that you always log in to the service using the same login method. Log in with the email address or phone number you provided to the customer. If you log in a different way, the system creates a new, empty profile for you where the expense invoice won't appear. In that case, you also won't have received payment for a previously created invoice, if the details are missing from the original profile. What should I do if I have a duplicate profile? No worries! Contact Truster's customer service either via the support section in the app or by calling us. Our customer service can easily merge duplicate accounts and move the invoices to the correct profile. 2. You invoice as a sole proprietor If you operate as a sole proprietor, separate expense invoices are no longer created in your profile for adding expenses. Instead, you can add your expenses directly to your bookkeeping conveniently using the app's receipt scanner.

How are fuel and charging receipts taken into account?

Fuel and charging receipts from relocation drives are first delivered directly to Bahn Express, after which we receive the invoicing details from them. Fuel and charging receipts cannot be paid out tax-free directly as part of the payment, so we make the necessary tax deductions on the taxable amount of the invoice. Light entrepreneur As a light entrepreneur, fuel and charging receipts cannot be taken into account as tax deductions by the invoicing service at all. You can add such costs yourself to your personal tax return as income-related expenses. Other travel expenses, such as mileage allowances, per diems and travel tickets, can be added to the expense invoice, in which case they are taken into account tax-free as part of the payment. Sole proprietor As a sole proprietor, you can add all receipts related to your business activity to your bookkeeping via the receipt scanner. VAT-deductible expenses are taken into account according to your VAT period in the VAT returns, meaning you can get the VAT amount of the receipt back. On your behalf, the expenses are also added to your business's tax return, where they are taken into account as deductible costs for your business. Please note that fuel and charging receipts from relocation drives can be reported as a deductible expense, but costs for your own vehicle are subject to limits set by the Tax Administration. The right to deduct costs arising from the use of your own vehicle depends on whether you use the vehicle for more or less than 50% of work drives. If you use your own vehicle for less than 50% of work, you can receive mileage allowance. If, on the other hand, you use your own vehicle for more than 50% of work, costs related to the vehicle itself can also be taken into account as deductible expenses. So be sure to keep a careful driving log of your own car's use, and submit it to us via the tax return request at the end of the year. If you use your own vehicle for more than 50% of work, also add the vehicle's bill of sale to the Vehicle information section in the app.

Where can I get help if I have questions?

For questions about the assignments themselves and the content of the work, please contact the client's support directly. For questions about invoicing, salary payment, expenses or the app, the easiest way to reach Truster's customer service is via the support section in the app.
