The impact of a subcontractor on YEL Insurance

YEL obligation is assessed based on your own actual work input. The total invoicing amount in your name does not decide your YEL obligation. YEL work income only reflects the monetary value of the work you actually do.

When using a substitute, note these points:
If a substitute does all deliveries and gets the income, your invoicing does not directly determine your YEL obligation.
The deciding factor is your own actual work input in the business.
If you still organize rides or do some yourself, the work income limit might still be exceeded.
However, a large invoicing amount alone does not automatically make you liable for YEL.
